This contemporary comedy is based on Jane Austen’s classic Sense and Sensibility but with a Latin spin. Our Art Department had the sizable challenge of re-creating East L.A. and Beverly Hills neighborhoods in Monterrey, Mexico. Formosa Betrayed (Designer)

This politically-charged thriller was lensed in Bangkok, Chicago and Los Angeles for Director Adam Kane. The setting is early 1980′s Taiwan. We built miniature streets and hotel facades, decorated various exotic locales plus we re-created the Kaoshiung Incident complete with a massive Chiang Kai-shek statue and over 1,500 extras. Red Sands (Designer)

This dark tale takes place in war-torn Afghanistan, but it was actually filmed entirely in Santa Clarita, Ca. Our main set, an aged stone house, was built as a portable sculpture carved from foam by a set shop. Directed by Alex Turner for Sony. Photo Gallery

Janet Fitch’s tale about a young artist struggling with her own identity allowed us to create a variety of interiors for Michelle Pfeiffer, Rene Zellweger and Alison Lohman. It was also an opportunity for me to work for Designer Donald Graham Burt, who later won the Oscar for Fincher’s Benjamin Button. Directed by Peter Kosminsky for Warner Bros. Photo Gallery

Directed by Rupert Wainwright for MGM. Working for Production Designer Waldemar Kalinowski was a great life experience as we re-created Pittsburgh and Brazil in an ultra stylized manner. We also had plenty of special effects to deal with, including speeding subway trains, fire, rain plus lots of Aramaic writing. Photo Gallery
