ANTHONY STABLEY-RIVERO was born in La Paz, Bolivia and raised in the U.S. His Great Uncle Ovidio was Bolivia’s first Ambassador to Israel while Great Grandfather Ramon was a Governor, yet it was the influence of his Grandmother Beatriz, a movie theater owner, which propelled him into a life of art and cinema.

Art Direction of Stigmata, White Oleander and Todd Hayne’s Safe as well as SFX work on Terminator 2 are his most notable film credits. These experiences encouraged a shift in his career and a return to Latin America. In 2001, he began to write and direct experimental shorts in Mexico City with fellow artist Mariana Kahlo (her Great Aunt was Frida Kahlo), which included the award-winning This is Not a Film.

His storytelling often uses altered-realism in its style, which is present in the screenplays Everlasting, Las Super Bonitas and The Love Girl. These projects are being developed by Producers David Hillary (Spun) and Shannon Makhanian (5 Star Day).

Producer Richard Middleton (The Artist) says of Everlasting – “it’s an important story to be told and one that audiences will connect to.”
